With their debut album, The Band Perry made a huge splash on country radio with singles like "All Your Life", "Postcard From Paris", and the crossover smash "If I Die Young". After a successful first era, the band is poised for country super stardom with the release of their second album, "Pioneer", in April. The project's first single, "Better Dig Two", has already hit number one on country radio and strong digital sales are a good sign for minor pop crossover success. While the tracks on the band's first album were admirable, the singles released from "Pioneer" so far have hit much harder than the majority of their debut.Released yesterday, "Done." is set to be The Band Perry's second single from "Pioneer". The country/pop jam is the band's feistiest single since "You Lie", but with "Done.", you hear a new side of lead singer Kimberly Perry. She's got a new-found confidence in this kissoff anthem that hasn't been present on previous tracks--helping the band make their way to concert headliner status. Most importantly, "Done." is also the band's most pop-friendly song since "If I Die Young". A quick remix, similarly to the previously mentioned single, could do the trick with this one. I expect this to be another huge hit for the band. "Better Dig Two" and "Done." bodes extremely well for the country trio to have a memorable sophomore album era.
